INTRODUCTION
The aim of the study was to evaluate the cellular and clinical response
of a therapeutic protocol aimed at countering facial skin aging.
2-SESSIONS PROTOCOL:
Session 1: Day 0 Neauvia Hydro Deluxe.
Session 2: Day 7 Zaffiro treatment, PEGylated HA filler Neauvia Stimulate.
Twenty healthy female patients underwent this unique Smart Combination
Therapy (SCT), including mesotherapy using non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid
with calcium hydroxyapatite and an infrared energy-based device treatment
with sub- sequent implementation of PEG-cross-linked hyaluronic acid soft
tissue fillers.
Measurements were taken at day 0, 5, 21, 150.
Histological samples were taken from the treated areas.

KEY MESSAGES
Fully scientifically proven aesthetic combination procedure and outcome.
Long lasting results – up to 150 days after the procedure.
PEG used as a cross-linking agent has immunomodulatory activity, limiting
the inflammatory response.
RESULTS
The histological results at 21 days and 150 days post treatment showed
an increase in the number of fibroblasts (tissue regeneration).
The presence of fibroblasts in the tissue is evidence of the ongoing process
of producing new collagen fibers (graph 1,2). Immune response:
Decrease of the presence of B lymphocytes responsible for recognizing
antigens (graph 3).
Decrease of the presence of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.
Tissue revitalizing – increased number of vessels 150 days after treatment
(neovascu- larization). Skin elasticity +72% 150 days post treatment.
Hydration +49% 150 days post treatment.

CONCLUSION
Clinical outcomes of this article shows that combination therapy of Zaffiro and
both Neauvia Hydro Deluxe and Neauvia Stimulate (PEG cross-linked HA) indicate
an improvement in skin changes in histological, immunological, and biomechanical evaluations.
