Layered Biorevitalization: The Sandwich Technique
Combined with Neauvia Hydro Deluxe for Enhanced
Skin Quality
Author: Cavallini M. I Published on 28.07.2025
INTRODUCTION
Skin aging is a complex, multi-level process involving epidermal thinning, loss of
collagen and elastin, reduced hydration, and decreased fibroblast activity, factors
that contribute to visible signs such as laxity, fine lines, and uneven tone. To address
these changes more effectively, this study explored a personalized multilayered
biorevitalization approach, known as the “sandwich technique,” which combines
deep and superficial delivery of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid (HA) enriched with
glycine and L-proline (Neauvia Hydro Deluxe). The aim was to determine whether
dual-depth application provides superior rejuvenation outcomes compared to deep
injection alone.
A split-face clinical observation was conducted on a 52-year-old female patient
(Fitzpatrick skin type II) presenting with facial aging. Each side of the face was treated
differently: on the left side, 1 mL of Neauvia Hydro Deluxe was injected into the deep
dermis and an additional 1 mL applied superficially using microneedling (0.2 mm
depth); on the right side, 2 mL was injected only into the deep dermis. 2 sessions were
performed 1 month apart, and outcomes were assessed 1 month after the second
treatment using clinical observation and instrumental evaluation of texture, hydration,
and tone.
RESULTS
The sandwich-treated side demonstrated:
Noticeably improved skin texture and hydration.
Better tone uniformity and radiance.
Higher patient satisfaction and more visible rejuvenation compared
to deep injection alone.
The deep-only side showed general improvement, but less pronounced
effects.
The enhanced efficacy of the sandwich technique may result from dual-layer
fibroblast stimulation or the microneedling-induced regenerative response.

KEY MESSAGES
Layered biorevitalization (“sandwich technique”) combining deep and
superficial HA application yields superior skin quality improvements over
traditional single-depth injection.
Microneedling synergy may enhance HA penetration and stimulate fibroblast
activation.
This method supports a multilevel, physiologic skin rejuvenation concept
targeting both dermal layers.
Personalized treatment planning and combination biorevitalization align with
modern regenerative aesthetic medicine principles.
CONCLUSION
The sandwich technique using Neauvia Hydro Deluxe demonstrates promising
results for improving skin hydration, texture, and tone through dual-layer
dermal stimulation.
By addressing both superficial and deep dermal aging mechanisms, this
approach may represent a valuable evolution in personalized, regenerative
facial rejuvenation protocols.
