REPORT SUMMARY
PATIENT
Randomized evaluation of Zaffiro infrared
therapy versus Microfocused Ultrasound
(MFU) in 30 healthy women aged 30–55
(Fitzpatrick II–V) presenting with grade I–II
facial laxity.
TREATMENTS
Participants received a single session
of either Zaffiro (750–1800 nm infrared;
30–35 J; 4.8–5.6 J/cm2; 30–40 pulses per
side with 15 °C cooling) or MFU using 4.5
mm (1.2 J) and 3.0 mm (0.9 J) cartridges
BEFORE
delivering 70 lines per tip. Both modalities
targeted dermal remodeling and
collagen stimulation to address early
laxity.
RESULTS
Across both groups, dermal thickness
increased by approximately 40%.
Zaffiro, however, demonstrated superior
clinical performance, producing more
pronounced wrinkle reduction, higher
patient satisfaction, and excellent
tolerability over the 90-day follow-up.
